Volunteer To Help Families In Crisis

Each week we deliver specialized care bags to more than 80 families. We rely on volunteers to help make this happen. This is a wonderful way to lighten the load that families face during a medical crisis.

Volunteers schedule a time to pick up packages from one of our offices and deliver to families either at their home, hotel, or hospital. These volunteer shifts happen on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during business hours. Drivers must be 18 or older. We ask volunteers who are interested in doing care deliveries to attend one of our trainings where we will give you all the information you need to support families and allow them more time with their child.

Additional opportunities are available during annual and community events, over the holidays, and as new projects arise that match your time and talents.

There are meaningful, hands-on team-building opportunities for companies looking to make a lasting impact. Corporate volunteer groups can gather at your workplace or at a There With Care office to assemble care packages filled with food, toiletries, and essential supplies—or add a personal touch by decorating grocery bags for deliveries. These shared experiences strengthen teamwork, empathy, and purpose among employees while directly providing vital resources to families facing a medical crisis. Volunteer opportunities are available at our office—or we can bring a project to you. Together, you’ll assemble and personalize care bags filled with groceries, toiletries, baby essentials, cleaning supplies, and more—each one giving families precious time with their child and relief from daily stress.

You can also add creativity and heart by decorating grocery bags for deliveries, bringing lightness and encouragement to families during a difficult time.

When a family is caring for a child with a critical illness, their time is no longer their own. The stress can be overwhelming and isolating. By donating or hosting a drive for essential items, you help ease those burdens—saving families a trip to the store, reducing their exposure to germs, freeing up funds for other needs, and giving them more time where it matters most—with their child.

You can donate in-kind supplies by purchasing directly from our Amazon Wish Lists or buying items locally and dropping them off at one of our offices (see locations and times below). Your company or organization can also underwrite or host a drive to provide essential care bag items that bring immediate relief and care to families.
