Bilingual Programs Coordinator

As the Bilingual Programs Coordinator, Marina primarily supports There With Care’s Spanish-speaking families. She feels that being able to connect with her families in their own language is both necessary and important in order to build authentic connections. Marina finds that, in addition to helping build trust, it also brings them a sense a familiarity and comfort during an uncertain and often isolating time.

A friend introduced Marina to There With Care in 2018, and she was immediately drawn to the mission. Since then, she has volunteered to deliver everyday essentials to families and children facing a critical illness, plus helped out at special events.

Through her previous work experience at various non-profits, Marina understands the importance of building relationships with the community. She finds that being part of a caring community and helping alleviate some of the daily burdens facing families in a medical crisis to be both rewarding and humbling.
