Helping children with rare conditions access care

Some children have medical conditions that are so rare that doctors struggle to diagnose, let alone, treat them. These families are navigating the unknown, often incurring unimaginable tolls. The purpose of the Kyra Cares program is to help guide these families toward the specialized care that children with rare conditions require.

Kyra endured eight years of health complications due to an unidentified neurological autoimmune disease. Thanks to treatment advances, she was able to seize so much joy during the last two years of her life. Kyra died in July of 2017 but her spirit and light live on through all who love her. The Kyra Cares program is a manifestation of this love. She was a rare child with a rare condition and she very much wished for us to try and help other children like her. The Kyra Cares program supports families and science. Kyra would have loved that.
