Elena “Ellie” Jayne Coombes, Co-Founder | Born April 22, 1992
Ellie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in February of 2002.
She was everything to her parents Ralph and Marie, and her sister Charlotte. She loved having fun with friends and family, a laughing – A LOT!
She was a dancing queen, a glitter girl, astute and clever. Ellie was beautiful in every way. She found joy in the simplest things in life, like watching flowers grow and getting caught in rains showers. Ellie endured so much and was an incredibly strong and brave person. Ellie savored every moment in her life, that’s who she was.

The Coombes family taught us how stressful the challenge of providing daily transportation to treatment – sometimes for months at a time – can be on a family. Offering a ride, car repair, or gas payments allows parents to focus on comforting and caring for their child knowing they will never have to miss a treatment because the family couldn’t get there.
There With Care Transportation Programs help ensure that families are able to provide transportation to and from the hospital or doctor so parents don’t have to worry about their child missing a treatment.
