Boulder Development Director
Millicent Kang brings a rich and creative background to her position as Development Director at There with Care. After gaining her bachelor’s degree from Davidson College she began her career as a middle school teacher in North Carolina. In 2004, when her family relocated to Colorado, she stepped out of education to raise her own 3 children and began her own small art business- creating and selling original art. This passion for creativity, imagination and gratitude inspire her in everything she does.
Volunteering in her community has always been a priority of Millicent’s. Evidence of her “leadership by example” may be observed through the multitude of community events she has chaired, organized, and ultimately always “rolled up her sleeves” and volunteered at as well. She has been a long-time contributor to There With Care, helping at events, delivering groceries, and once hosted a “Sharing Square” original painting event to raise awareness and care for families touched by There With Care.
In her current development role, Millicent enjoys meeting a diversity of people and connecting with the community by listening to what they are passionate about and helping them find meaningful ways to participate in the various programs, services and events There With Care provides. She believes we can all participate to improve our community by caring about one another to be there for the families we serve.
